Interesting concept, but there really wasn’t much new here. The author did a good job of summarizing the many situations where over-organizing can be a problem. He also was quite accurate in his lampooning of those who make a living by giving organizational advice to others. There is a whole industry built on the misconception that lack of organization is a sure sign of a dysfunctional person.
I do think they went a step too far, however. The Bible clearly describes God as a God of order. We are not a random collection of biological goo, but an ordered, planned creation. So order does have value. It’s when we focus too much on doing it our way and not enough on God’s way that we get in trouble.
All in all a reasonable premise, but not quite enough to base a book on.
