A fun, fun read. This takes the geeky love of a zombie film and makes it read like a collection of deep, thoughtful reporting and insights. It’s zombie war reporting written by Time or Life magazine. After reading a few of the stories, you begin to realize just how thoughtful Brooks had to be to create a rich backstory that impacted all of these lives. You appreciate the otherwise human feelings and accomplishments that are described in an environment that should sound fantastic, but doesn’t.

Kudos for making it believable and enjoyable at the same time. He leaves the reader wanting more to discern more about the history and events of the war. A great read!
