Excellent, excellent review of Reagan’s determination to defeat communism. I really appreciated the author’s research into the archives of the communist countries that were opposing Reagan most of his life as proof that Reagan knew exactly what he was doing and precisely how to squeeze them.

This should be required reading for any serious study of the Cold War and should put to rest the trendy belief that Reagan had little to do with the collapse and just happened to be the one standing by when it happened. In fact, he was responsible for pushing, and pushing hard, to make those governments fail.

A great story about a great man and great president.
